Guild rope splicing course
On Saturday 9th February, Carol McRobbie, Dana Josephson and Andrew Goldthorpe from Witney, along with Anthony Williamson and Janet Robinson-Wood from Combe attended the rope splicing and maintenance course at Radley along with around 20 in total from other towers and branches in the guild. It was organised by Tony Crabtree and Anthony Williamson of the Guild Towers and Belfries Committee and featured practical rope splicing, exhibits and a rope making demonstration on a mini rope walk. Everybody left having accomplished at least one splice and all were disappointed when we ran out of time. Very useful and practical.
